The Bradford Dementia Group was established in 1992 at the University of Bradford, as part of the Bradford University School of Health Studies, to develop teaching, education and research in the field of dementia care. Their mission is to improve the quality of life and quality of care for people with dementia and their families, through excellence in training, education and research, recognising the key role-played by practitioners and professionals.

The Group possesses an international reputation in research and service evaluation in dementia care. Funding for their work comes from Research Councils and charitable trusts. They host well-known research seminar series with visiting national and international speakers, a visiting scholar programme and academic and professional exchanges.

The Bradford Dementia Group collected a diverse team of specialists to form the collaborative workgroup for EX MEMORIA the film.

The team of Errollyn Bruce, Andrea Capstick, Claire Surr, Sarah Hodgson and Jane Dale bring years of experience in both scientific study and care praxis, within the field of Dementia, Alzheimers, aging and care situations. The team also brings experience in representation of the subject field to the public and care community, as well as access to a broad peer-network for the film, which is critical to the targeted distribution phase of this project.

In 2007, EX MEMORIA officially became part of the curriculum/study materials of the University of Bradford's Dementia Studies degrees.
